Stretch Fit is a comprehensive guide to achieving greater levels of flexibility and fitness through stretching. As a low-impact exercise, stretching is kinder to your joints than most other exercise routines, which makes it an ideal way for people of all ages and abilities to get regular workouts. Whether you’re an absolute beginner, someone who maintains a regular exercise program, or a participant in competitive sports, you’ll find that Stretch Fit gives you the advice and information you need to maintain and improve your fitness level. Stretching exercises will also provide relief from aches and pains associated with daily living. Graded training programs take you from a complete beginner’s routine all the way to top-level competition fitness schedules. Author Karen McConnell includes valuable advice on maintaining a balanced exercise program, which includes cardio exercise routines. She also offers information on diet and nutrition, and advises on starting out with the routine that best suits your personal fitness level. Daily logs will help you gauge your weekly progress at beginner level, intermediate level, and upper level.
